For those of you who don't know who Diggy Simmons is, he's Rev Run's middle son and was on the MTV show, "Run's House". I'm not gonna lie, I love the show, so when I saw this pop up over at illroots, I had to take a listen. The kid is actually pretty dirty and he's only 14 years old! Much better than his older brother JoJo. Take a listen and make up your own mind. His mixtape drops the 24th of November.

Lupe Fiasco - Solar Midnight

I can dig. Lupe really has been channelling his inner rock lately I see. Here's what he had to say about this one:

Solar Midnite is my first commercial release that I actually produced as well as wrote. The New Moon team asked me if I could do a song specifically for the film. They invited me to an early screening of the unfinished film from which I pulled different elements that I thought would translate into a great song. I pulled in vocalist and bassist Graham Burris and acclaimed musician Matt Nelson to help fill it out my vision musically and "joila" Solar Midnite was born. The song basically deals with the chaotic love story that takes place between the characters. It's more on the rock side of my musical catalog and comes straight from my die hard fanhood of Red Hot Chili Peppers and Anthony Keidis, one of my FAVORITE RAPPERS.

I might as well give you a Digital update as well. Mike and I are working hard on this Circa '87 project, it's coming out pretty damn good so far. When we get comfortable with the amount of music that we have for that, I'll get to work on my next solo project, tentatively titled, Grandiose. But I'm 99% sure that I'll release either a mixtape or an EP before that, probably this winter. Until then, enjoy these remixes and freestyles for the next few weeks.
